This is what they are taking from us. 💔 Guys, the industry is doing everything it can to kill physical games... I refuse to let go.

We are keeping it alive

More of this here 👇

No bro, remember who you are and be happy with what you have. Like this kid.

This truly moved me thank you sony are destroying a culture as gaming and getting a physical at Christmas means more than they realize

Yeah, christmas in 1996 when I got my N64 is a precious memory. I'm sorry that future generations won't be able to experience it.

actually...if we fix the messaging on this to: By killing physical media, they're declaring war on Christmas (i.e. war on Jesus), if we can rally the snowflakes, we might have something here.

Heart broken :(

so you're saying bring back hitler?

Let’s have parents nowadays have old physical media to share it with their children. (Gen Alpha & Beta)

They're not taking this from you because you're not a child opening presents anymore. You're an adult. Discs still exist, and I can guarantee most of the games you own, you bought. Stop acting like you're getting robbed of childhood experiences.

Tell me you don't have kids without telling me. The hardest part is knowing they won't have the same kind of joy from gaming.

I have 2 teenagers. But just because their experience doesn't match yours, doesn't magically mean they'll experience less joy, or their life sucks. It's all about perspective. We're adults and miss the old ways, but kids these days live in a digital world. Keep an open mind.

@myretrolifeshow Has anyone ever told how much much of an absolutely fucking miserable cunt you are?

@myretrolifeshow Only absolutely miserable cunts who continually disappoint their families. Wishing you all the best in your future failures.

If it wasn't for physical media, fully owning what is now my favourite game of all time and to share it with those I care about would be a nightmare. While I tolerate digital and think it's a perfectly viable format, physical media as an option is incredibly important to me

I feel you bro. It’s a sad. I got called a conspiracy nut for a few years for saying they want the “you’ll own nothing and be happy” future for us all. It’s what their goals are. Now it’s not so funny. I appreciate you being a force for true physical media! Great memories!

Metroid bros life was never the same

@Sony @PlayStation This is what you are taking away from us screw you souless fuck's.

Amen!! I cancelled 15 pre orders to buy more PS3/Vita games. What all this does is lose sales. I often buy a game twice that way I can play it digitally while I wait for the disc to arrive. Now I’ll buy zero and give it to older hardware. I’m kind of glad this happening. It’s shown me that I love PS3 more than my PS5 and it has got me to play it daily.

This is exactly what they are taking away. I can’t speak for everyone but I also was a kid just like this growing up with physical games and memories I had with friends and family who gifted these games or even the games I gifted others.

How great was that giant Earthbound box

Bro the industry is not the same and we find our selfs loosing touch with reality + physical touch + electronics! Now it’s destroying us in rt for the ☁️ ^ prices and possessions are going up and hardware is going out of business! It’s madness

That Quake shirt is dope.

That's beautiful! I wish I had videos of my first game console gift recorded. 😍

Switch 2 is the last stand, we need to support it

The Christmas morning opening of Consoles and or Games is an important tradition in gaming culture, sacrificed because of a spreadsheet.

thing is discs have now been turned into keys no longer do they store the fullgame rip

I remember when Cassette games where phased out. Unfortunately time moves on.

I sent you a DM and Email. Would love to talk to you about this clip. Thanks!

Oh snap Earthbound!

Damn what happened to video games? The atmosphere was set up perfectly in this game a dark gritty noire, honestly it was ahead of its time and I think sonic unleashed was slightly inspired by this story.

Tyler, this is your family. You are in a coma, please wake up and come back to us

You think they’d be a lot cheaper. No case, cover marketing, shipping, lower cost storage, etc…manufacturing costs are down. Prices still up. 🤣

I love physical but honestly it’s been a slow death in the excitement. My first games on the NES, like legend of Zelda, dragon warrior etc. they came with manuals with stories and artwork, maps, strategy guilds other extras. Fast forward to no manuals and paper thin cases. Sad..

They are stealing our 1990’s Christmas morning nostalgia? My kid doesn’t give a shit about this..

Yes, but if we don't get distracted by this and stay focused on OWNING the actual game again, we can have physical games again too :)

We are here with you. It's one thing to play a game that has no physical editions, it's a whole other to attempt to kill off a generations memories. I grew up in arcades and with consoles. My first game I bought with my own paper route money was Breath of Fire 2 (SNES), first bought console PLAYSTATION 1. now, this BS from the game industry. It's enough. Boycott them all
