This is how we were raised in the 70’s and 80’s. It was nice when all of the parents - black and white - had the same standards. It sure made life easier on us kids.

Yes. If anyone was out of line, we policed each other bc if our parents found out how we behaved, we would ALL get punished. Rich or poor. Black or white.
