My God! Kate Smith, Cher, and Tina Turner on TV singing a John Lennon song! And it's real!

I had no idea Margaret Thatcher was such a good singer.

Speak for yourself. I watched that show every week.

No one belted God Bless America better than Kate.

Wow, Tina Turner was still getting her ass beat daily, and the rainbow was just a rainbow.

Cher and her 'left arm disabled by a stroke' thing. I always found Cher to be about a 7 on the dork scale. One would think Kate Smith singing "Let it Be" would eclipse all that, but no. Cher's limp arm thing along with her excessive vibrato was cringe to me, even back in 1975.

I feel bad for younger folk who will never experience the joy of Charles Nelson Reilly.

That was classic! The Cher show did a lot of great medleys with legendary performers. The Jackson Five plus Cher was epic!

They are all three men too! What they have done to women is sick.

I think Kate Smith might have been the model for the future Mrs. Doubtfire!!!

That guy sold me a Corvair.

Gerald Ford. The 55 mph speed limit. And this.

There were dark corners of the 70s could be really really weird -

Yep, definitely missed that episode. Never could’ve imagined that trio. Thanks! “And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me. Shine until tomorrow, let it be.” 🕊️ One of Rock’s greatest songs. 🔥🔥🔥

No thanks on the drag-queen-man... no thanks on all of them and their rainbow crap.

Everyone Knows It's Windy

I watched that show because I wanted to be cool like Cher. Now, I don't think I'd take her calls, but she's a brilliant entertainer.

i didn't miss it. saw every show crammed, with 9 siblings, around a small color tv every week. those were the days.

I thought all elderly ladies looked like this when I was little!

You might enjoy Ethyl Merman’s disco album:

Wow, what an interesting Grouping. That’s the God Bless America lady, & props to her, she had some strong voice. She was already older there. And Tina too? Pretty damn cool! Thanks for sharing.

Always get Kate Smith and Ethel Merman confused?

Tina Turner, Cher and Ethyl Merman??

That hair on the Mohs scale would be just barely below diamond.

1967 and 2020 wtf

I watched that show every week, and I remember being jealous of Chastity (she was a little younger than me), thinking what a sweet life she must have had....boy, I was duped into believing that nonsense.

That was fabulous.I didn't even realize that was Tina Turner on the left until the end!

The only question I have is how many of these singers are dudes?

Mrs Doubtfire sings the Beatles

Also Sony and Cher, one of the best skits ever...

Or Cher in Vegas style Native American wardrobe.

Ah for the good ol' days, when the rainbow was not stolen and corrupted, among many other things.

They're fabulous puppet!

Holy summer vacation at the grandparents! If people wonder why Gen X kids would go out and play in 98-degree heat and drink from garden hoses, there were reasons. 😱

She was great in Shrek 2.
