Sometimes people forgets that "feel no fear" is not only proved false by ample evidence (as marines fear a lot of things, they just don't break down from it) but doesn't equate to act recklessly. Otherwise you get orks.

These people think space marines are stupid berserkers who charge at every enemy instead of a well trained and experienced elite group of soldiers who do soldier things first that take up defensible positions when outnumbered.

This video makes clear how out of whack the scale in the Starcraft computer games is. Like, the Ultralisks are basically biotitans in the video, and in the game they are just kinda big units.

people vastly overestimate the 40k space marines, the average sc marine is probably about 50-60% of a space marine. the speed that sc marines are produced at would put the imperium to utter shame. 40k marines are the best wearing ancient relics, sc marines are the baseline guy

Ultralisks are bigger than a Carnifex and could probably fight a Hierophant (i say probably because Hiero has ranged weapons) The biggest Tyranid ground/air unit gets fucking size diffed by your average Guardian and Scourge. The Zerg might actually be better than Nids.

Some space marines are smarter than that Fir everyone else, there are Black Templars, Space Wolves, and Blood Angels

Space Marines would not charge in to that, because they use tactics. Looking at a horde, they would evaluate the terrain and select a location to draw the enemy towards so that their numbers could be nullified to what 100 Marines could deal with. Or they would launch a decapitation strike on the Brood Mother location. Or board and kill the leviathan so that it drops and squashes most of them.

Why are you telling that to me and not OP? Though, now that I think about it, there are plenty of canon examples of Marines just charging headfirst into a situation and taking casualties. We've seen what a Deathwatch strike team can handle.

I did the math: an Ultralisk like that would have to weigh 200 tons. That can't be its base form; it would sink into the ground on less urbanized planets.
