This is when SNL was actually funny!

“… who hops from bed-to-bed with the frequency of a cheap HAM radio…” 😄😂🤣 … the writing! 👏👏👏

Classic comedy, when nobody was offended, and they could laugh at jokes. "There's great value in being able to step back and laugh at yourself, at life, and at attitudes. Laughter helps you put everything into perspective." Jim Henson

We don’t often hear ham radio jokes like that.

@rickcstein So SNL hasn't been funny since the 70s? I mean it's awful now but I think it was pretty damn good in the 80s, late 90s and early 2000s

I was a huge SNL fan from the beginning but over the last few years, it's absolutely awful. I couldn't tell you who's on the show now, who half the hosts are or musical groups.

I remember watching this particular skit the night that it came out, and we were all laughing so hard that you really couldn't hear all of the jokes.. I was able to play the clip several times today and get the entire gist of Dan's tirade, hilarious!

Jane Curtain , Yo?

@black56red56 This is still pretty classic.

A classic! When this came out it was funny because debates weren’t like this, and the concept was so fresh. Sadly, the vibe from current political debates on TV mirror this, but without the humor.

I mentioned this on @1210WPHT about this segment turning into modern day political discourse while they were lampooning the weekly, respectful Con/Lib debates at the end of @60Minutes - when @CBS was a legit outfit
