There is also no such thing as strawberry flavor, strawberry milk is just milk and melted down strawberries

“I’m asking you a question” *proceeds to not ask a question*

it's cocoa (cacao) chocolate milk is milk with cocoa

Chocolate is a flavor, because:

This is literally just natural flavor vs artificial flavor. Artificial strawberry flavor does not come from any part of an actual strawberry, it’s synthetic. That said, artificial chocolate flavor is almost never used, if it tastes like chocolate, it very likely contains cocoa.

What does he think a flavor is

I might get called dumb but he honestly has a point Chocolate is a flavor but you need CHOCOLATE to make that flavor. Coco powder still has chocolate in it.

it takes one second to just look something up

Chocolate syrup is corn syrup that has been flavored with cocoa or artificial chocolate flavoring

Wtf does he mean by flavour? Is salt not a flavour because it needs salt to be salt? Is pepper not a flavour because you need pepper? What is a flavour? Does he mean aroma? Artificial? I am so confused by his case

Daily reminder: this is how 90% of the discussions on this app are going.

I can’t stand when someone argues like this by just saying So YoU tHinK….. and just say your thought back to you over and over. They don’t ever give a reason why you’re possibly wrong, and just act incredulous. Ughhhhg. Shut up!

Chocolate is a byproduct of cocoa. Cocoa is the flavor of chocolate. Idk if that makes sense

I thought this was common knowledge ngl

Coco powder. They some doofuses who have never baked.

is water wet ass debate

Neither of these morons know about cocoa, cocoa powder, and cocoa butter. Man google is free ffs. Just google this shit

With chemistry you can make flavor of everything. All those grape sodas don’t use actual grape they just managed to get some flavor chemicals to taste vaguely like grape

There's chocolate in chocolate syrup, but if it was pure chocolate it would harden and wouldn't at all work like syrup.

In my eyes, these type of conversation is what friendship is all about. This ‘poor man’s philosophy stuff’. Getting angry while never putting your friendship in danger. This will teach you a lot of social stuff, sticking up for yourself, dealing with peer pressure, etc

The white guy is annoying cos while the syrup etc may or may not actually contain chocolate, he creates two silly strawmen to argue against: 1) The syrup has to be 100% chocolate 2) The company goes to the trouble of making bars then melting them in the microwave for the syrup

Holy fuck. So much air wasted on a nothing burger of a conversation

His face change, he really pitied that man

my Tamagotchi’s been through three fake deaths and a breakup arc, so I get the betrayal.

Hes gotta do a reverse on his thinking, what I think hes saying is flavors (lemon for exp.) use oils and arent chunks of the lemon itself. But if you take 5 seconds you realize his train of thought is dumb. you can have just the oil from chocolate itself and will make flavoring

It’s a food and a flavor. Like a strawberry is a food but also a flavor. It can be the real thing, a combination of natural ingredients to give the flavor, or a combination of unnatural ingredients to give the flavor.

Wait until you find out cheap vanilla flavored foods don't normally have real vanilla in them.

This all depends on where and the wording of the product. There are chocolate flavoured things without any chocolate in it, but in the UK it HAS to be labelled "chocolate flavoured" on the packaging. If it is labelled chocolate milk - it must contain enough chocolate to meet it.

I can't think of a single flavor that isn't made by preparing the ingredient to some degree and using it to make the [ingredient] flavored food. Unless he's asking is something's only chocolate flavored if made from synthetically produced chemicals (artificial flavoring)?

Nah this has got to be bait, there's no way these guys think chocolate comes from bars only

This is tails side of the the coin "two dumb bitches telling each other 'exactly'."

Professional rage baiter

Most flavonoids can be made in a lab without a natural precursor. You don’t need vanilla to form vanillin. However, chocolate is a very complex flavour made up of hundreds of chemical compounds. Artificial chocolate flavour is very uncommon, and most use real cocoa as a precursor

Is this the same dude that didn't know what an animal was?
