This is why baseball is different than ANY other sport. Both Micah Parsons & CJ Stroud are FREAK athletes. Watching them throw a baseball would never tell you that.

Wow! Shocking! CJ Stroud, who has dedicated his life to throwing a football, throws a baseball like he does a football! Even more shocking! Micah Parsons, who likely hasn’t thrown a baseball in 15+ years isn’t good at throwing a baseball! Every kid that played baseball past their 13th birthday could throw out a decent opening pitch. Now hitting is another discussion. It would be tough for anyone who hasn’t played baseball consistently for years to hit off of even average highschool pitching.

It’s because you don’t have to be athletic to play baseball.

True- but you can say this about most sports Watch an NBA All Star try to throw a 10 yard out route Or a Pitcher to do a tip slam, or make 7 of 10 3’s in warm ups Even the best golfing Pro athletes cannot touch what you see on a Sunday in the summer. They’re all ridiculous
