This is why cdramas need extra dubbing yall like can you imagine watching an emotional scene in your historical cdrama and you hear someone singing karaoke in the background 😭

I totally get the whole dubbing situation at Hengdian, but they should really let the actors dub themselves. Otherwise, it just makes them look like they're only there for their pretty faces 🙄

sometimes the production team makes the executive decision to get someone else maybe because of the accents or tone, especially in historical dramas. I’m sure most actors and actresses want to act their characters out all the way through but I guess they’ll listen to the team for what’s best for the characters ((There’s some actors too who even do procedures to minimise that accent/lisp etc like ao ruipeng but it’s actually a really painful procedure/recovery

Claiming that 'Hengdian is too noisy' is a massive cop-out; it serves as a lazy excuse for actors whose voice control is too weak to match their facial expressions. An actor should be a complete package, rather than a silent model merely moving their lips.

?? It’s not even an excuse it IS noisy?? Anyways which actor doesn’t want to act out their character all the way through of course they’re doing their best on set so that they can hopefully use their own voice at the time or dub their own characters later on but things like this do happen. Or sometimes the production teams make the executive decision to use someone else because maybe the accent or tone doesn’t match the character and of course the actors and actresses want the best for their characters. Most of the time, it’s not a lazy thing or maybe you’re just following the wrong group of people
