This is why extraction games fail:

The adrenaline rush of Tarkov is umatched. There's no other game that makes you feel that rush.

Well not to mention calls of duty’s extraction mode has the depth of a puddle

It wasn’t even so much the lack of depth as much as it was like “welp I’m never gonna worry about going broke, ever” after literally 1 round

And no company is willing to take the risk to make a game that will actually compete with Tarkov. They all want to play it safe, which just pushes EVERYONE away

in fairness, it's taken BSG 10 years and they still haven't gotten it totally right, so I don't blame them.

Incidentally I think this is also why you see wipes with a less restricted flea in Tarkov die off quicker - people end up losing the satisfaction of looting something good if they can just loot bolts on a scav and buy 3 full kits after and it all feels meaningless.

Delta Force has been good. Just need to fix the wipe issue imo

Tarkov is the most rewarding game in existence. No other game exists where the lows are as low and the highs are as high. For all its flaws, Tarkov is unmatched in that aspect. No AAA game will ever come close, because it's such a niche market IMHO

been saying this for years, people want the struggle, the game is most fun when you have to fight for EVERYTHING, there’s just a lot of players that don’t know what they want because that struggle makes the good kits so rewarding they think the kit itself is the best part of it
