I can't imagine the exhaustion at the end of a shift. Must explain the outsized used of stimulants in the profession. That's as difficult as any job out there

all my friends are like, “you’re so good at cooking.” I can’t cook for shit, but I can grill.

All of those work habits are atrocious. Must I watch again to add to the list? Flaming pans... bad, very bad... who likes acrid flavor? Burnt pans as lids, not allowing anything to reduce, breathe, or properly saute'??? WTF?

That's a hell lot of multitasking. Nice job Mr Chef! 😂 I mean cook.

I’d consider you more of a pitmaster. Either way, I use the heck out of your recipes! 🔥

I got wore out watching him. That's not a easy job especially when restaurant is full of customers.

I love to cook and one point in life I wanted to be a chef until I started seeing videos like this. There's no love in this cooking (to a point), it's just another day in the office of just pumping out orders.

This guy is an F1 racer of the kitchen. The F1 cars don’t handle well and are less safe under 140mph

I love the high-volume bistro kitchen. Some of these line cook/sous chefs guys are really amazing.

I worked in a kitchen at a country club that had three dining rooms going 6 nights a week and Saturday maybe had a wedding for 200 in the middle of it. None of this "yes chef" bs and banter like the tv shows. They'd have rolled your ass out the back door if you expected that.

Every restaurant has that dude that can crush any recipe without even thinking about it

No one has mentioned him grabbing the pasta with his hands. If that’s normal I’d rather not know.

Is this why they have to do cocaine?

Sauté station was the fastest, grill was the lead though. Garmage and pantry were fun too.

The fact he threw it in a pan and flipped doesn't make me want to call him Chef either.. 😂

No way I could do this for a living. Frenetic is the number one activity I avoid at all costs.

Did that for many years in a past life. Trust me bro, it becomes muscle memory. Most can do it, few want the heat and BS of working in a kitchen.

Haha, I get that! Sometimes it just feels like too much pressure or responsibility. Chef status is earned, not given, right? 🤷‍♂️

I worked in a very successful big time restaurant for 4 years as a cook. It is cubic work for hours on end and if you can't do it with a smile, you are gone...
