According to Grok, this is where to follow Alex on YouTube. I could be wrong...

That’s right!

Thank you for your work! I thought @MarkRuffalo should take a lesson or 2 from you instead of being a brainwash follower of his party. 😊

is your book still in the works?

Yes—it ends with the end of the dictatorship 😁

Thanks for this introduction Alex one of my friends on Twitter sent me your previous post about Maria Corina to post to my audience and after watching it (all of it) I definitely will follow your account and share this accurate, timely and informative posts. Que Dios te bendiga 🙏

Impressive - you have become my number one comment source to understanding what will happen next ❤️

Keep being resonable, non-partisan, and data-driven with true critical thinking. It is awesome and rare! And don't worry about the #crixets. They are starting to fade.

Brilliant.

Objective question -Do Stanford and Harvard profs have a liberal, neutral or conservative stance when it comes to these subjects? Regarding history is it “Western/ North American” biased or appropriately neutral or whatever…???

I find that most professors don’t have specialized knowledge on Venezuela. Many are very knowledgeable about broad topics, and it’s always great to bounce ideas off people with a breadth of knowledge. I’m very thankful to the professors that I’ve had at both institutions.

You’re doing great work ! I really appreciate the education you have provided me and the community

Best & most knowledgeable person in Venezuela 🇻🇪 is Robert Alonso the only one who told the truth about Hugo Chávez from the beginning, but since he is not a pundit with a degree in a leftist institution he was ignored in DC. Robert has first hand knowledge. @JMichaelWaller

Great videos - are you also on YouTube?

Soon!

Alex, do you make these videos in Spanish as well?

I’m focused on English content for now, but might make a video or two in Spanish soon.

Everything starts on April 11th 2002 when the Venezuelan political opposition, financed and backed by the US government, placed multiple snipers in downtown Caracas to execute a false-flag event, 15 innocent Venezuelans assassinated, from both political parties. The government was accused through the corporate media as the aggressor and this violence was used to justify and carry out the kidnapping of the democratically elected President Hugo Chavez. A couple of months after his return, the same political and economic group, once again with the backing of the USA, sabotaged the Venezuelan oil industry bringing the nation’s oil production close to zero to then use it as an economic and political weapon of coercion. The Venezuelan political opposition has been a political movement financed and politically backed by the US government, bipartisan support. To ignore this reality and historical context makes your analysis lack hard truths.

Ah yes, a “propaganda monitor” that parrots chavista propaganda—how ironic. The snipers on April 11 2002 were never apprehended, but the rooftops where they were (around Miraflores) were under the authority of Freddy Bernal, the chavista mayor. Food for thought 😉

Truth ≠ Propaganda

Exactly right!

I’ve watched this “documentary” several times. It is wholly committed to the chavista narrative —I would never recommend it as learning material. But don’t worry, I will make a video on the April 2002 coup soon, and you will see what I mean ☺️

Please, include everything.

Can you share you Youtube name/handle, please? Thanks :)

Alex thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. It has helped me to understand the situation better. Please keep posting. I'm looking forward to a free Venezuela!

It's great to find a clear intelligent voice on Latin America. I'm sure I'll be hearing from you for many. years to come.

You have explained it more clearly and succinctly than anyone else that has attempted to do so and made it easier to understand. I'm looking forward to reading your book.

Alex, thank you for sharing more information about your background.y degree is in history, geography and anthropology. I took a few Latin American studies classes. It was definitely not remiss with me at the challenges in Venezuela and other countries in the region. This is one fo the most important catalysts transpiring in the western hemisphere which will have a ripple effect across the world. Looking forward to your YouTube!

👏👏👏

Praying for Venezuela and hoping it's a trigger event for more change throughout Latin America. 🙏

Sounds like a Psyop

Stumbled upon your account Jan 4th, one of favorite new follows, appreciate all your incite, perspective, and lived experiences

I'm one of those who started following you recently, and what caught me was your accurate explanation of what has been going on in Venezuela. You're gonna go far, paisano!

I think it’s important to get first hand accounts out so we can all learn the truth. This is why freedom of speech and access to the internet are really important for humanity as a whole.

I have enjoyed many of your explanatory videos that help shed a more authentic light on the reality that sadly was foisted on your fellow citizens. I hope your country finds a way out from under such massive, systemic corruption. No doubt a bumpy ride is in store.

Do you have a You Tube channel at present?

Thank you - The writing format I have doesn't work with x videos, but it does with You Tube.

Love your videos! Thanks for such clear explanations.

I hope you'll talk even more about the changes under Chavez beginning in 2003 (land 'reform' and putting price caps on 400 products). Venezuela's problems didn't start with falling oil price in 2013 or sanctions in 2017. Food became hard to find much earlier. Price caps hurt.

Very smart...well explained...well spoken. Being born and raised Caracas...gives you insight and your commentary overviews have validity. Thanks for doing our homework.

This is very welcomed! I have been slogging through Spanish threads on X trying to understand the whole dynamic Venezuela played with its people & the region. I would love an indepth video on El Helicoide & the Caracas tomb. The whole world needs to know of all these atrocities!

Eres lo máximo Te felicito y Dios te bendiga 🙏🏼

Eres excelente. Sería bueno que también fuese en español.

You are doing a great job. I wish I had the capability to explain the fall of modern secular Turkey (my birth place - I am almost 80) into an Islamic dictatorship. The same playbook that Fethullah Gulen, Erdogan used is being played in USA and the west. We must stop this now.

I want to show my support with engagement, thank you very much for your work!
