1 app makes $50,000/mo 1 app makes $1,000/mo both are in the same stupid niche... but why is one outperforming the other by 50x the revenue... if both have literally the exact same features the app that is making $50k/mo → makes sense right away → is stupid simple for stupid people → uses color theory to lure users the app making $1k/mo → is annoying from the start → UI is ugly and confusing → nothing makes sense the take away is to not overcomplicate your app with features only you care about... stop trying to be different and make an app users want and understand right away Thats how you reach PMF

For those curious as to the AI use by Hank Green, it was not simply "notes" as he claims here. This is him reading off a script, with at least this portion of it being written by AI The giveaway: "Another way to say it, and I appreciate the pushback..." This is how AI responds when being asked something like "I don't like how this is worded, come up with a better phrasing," and makes no sense in the context of the surrounding sentences. This means he asked ChatGPT to reword something, and the following sentence is very likely AI generated. Timestamped Source:
