My take: - 20% of AU voters is in govt/pay - 20% of AU voters are part time & receive govt benefits -->> 40% of voters vote based on who gives them the biggest handouts == LABOUR -->> Compulsory voting solidly increases the above... -->> Labour imported over 1 million new immigrants from places that trad vote "red" and placed them mostly in Liberal seats, strategically to thin out the Liberal vote.
