@KimWrites4U I could remember seeing Dominque Dawes doing gymnastics back in the day and I was in awe. I was hooked on gymnastics ever since.

THIS is Black excellence. Congratulations to Teyana Taylor on her first Golden Globe win. Representation opens doors. A victory for our Black Queens, our girls, and our culture. We belong in every room, on every stage, and at every table. ✊🏿

There are systemic reasons why we are still seeing black firsts in gymnastics in 2025. Those systems still exist. Idk if yall noticed but the huge black representation in national men’s and women’s gymnastics that existed a few years ago has almost totally disappeared.

KTE has always said they are a global group where every little girl can see herself in the members. That’s why representation matters. Manon was the only black member in the group, and she has helped many young black girls feel seen and included, which is now being stripped away from them. If KTE is truly about diversity and inclusion, then Manon deserves the same respect as the others. #releasethestatement #freemanon 🙌🏽

Why do you care so much about it?…You say ‘representation.” Let me tell you something—the only representation that matters is VALUES, not skin color.” Racist student: “Black values aren’t important to you!” Charlie Kirk: “What are ‘black values’?” Racist student: [babbles incoherently and filibusters] Charlie Kirk: “You know what black values are? They’re CHRISTIAN values, because they’re one of the most Christian populations in the country. That’s what black values are…I don’t accept these distinctions between black and white people; the only difference is melanin content.”

The Met chief, Mark Rowley, has said that it’s shameful that black boys in London are more likely to be dead at 18 than white boys. The important context that he missed out is that is that black boys are more likely to be killed by other black boys. Nothing to do with racism.

That's why you need Black people on the jury. When this jury heard a Karmelo Anthony cry out, they heard nothing. That's not an accident. That's why representation in that jury box matters.
