Lots of really good points. The disconnect between the real word and school has widened considerably.

All facts sadly. We all have that moment where you created your own way to do a math problem, draw, or find whatever answer. Instead of being congratulated and examining the new method, most of us were scolded and told โ€œshow your work, do it the way I told you!โ€ It took me awhile to de victimize, get all my creativity and strength back. Very counter productive system, even if you just want to quietly work and make do. So many better ways.

Our current Industrial Era Classroom Style School System was designed to produce factory-workers, not independent thinkers and problem-solvers. If you want your children to know how to think, consider homeschooling!

You pick your classes and major in college. In my high school, I picked my classes from four different curriculum path groups. One of them was business.

Schools pump out employees and they do it effectively. Itโ€™s a feature not a bug.

As best I can determine, the US school system was fashioned after a Prussia system designed to produce soldiers. In the US this Prussian military structure was adopted and adjusted to provide employees with little knowledge of money, debt, the financial markets, or the FED. These students tend to eventually work for those who do understand money, debt, business, and the original purpose of the Federal Reserve System (the FED) whose actions since 1913 have swelled the numbers of the poor, shrunken the middle class and enrich the upper 0.0001% who, through the media they own and control, demonize the hard working upper middle class and calling them the greedy 1%. #moneyslaves #EndTheFED #MoneyHeist

Standardized test are a measure of personal intelligence, not group cooperation. But public schools are and always have been indoctrination centers not about life skills building exercises.
