How you win matters, what you do after losing matters. Creating a superteam in an already weak conference in your prime should always be a disqualification from GOAT discussions. Kobe didn't run after losing to the Celtics in 2008, he ran it back and got his revenge in 2010 vs Boston. He won back to back championships w/o Shaq, He won w/o a superteam and top75 teammates, he actually elevated his teammates and didn't make them change up their game. Paul Pierce acknowledges how great Pau was because they ran thru him in 2008 and but saw a major difference in his attitude and mentality in the 2010 Finals. LeBron James here is talking about how great the Celtics were with 4 All-Stars but he had to run to a Finals MVP and another top 5 member of his draft class to start winning rings.
