this is why the Xbox full screen experience feels like a beta. These issues are small, but they all add up to a buggy experience that feels like it shipped too early

reminds me of steam deck at launch. it wasn't $600 though, let alone $1000 :p

yeah Valve had to move quickly there too. I hope fixes come swiftly here

@imightbegabby Did you complain to valve also when they had the same issues orrrr ?

@imightbegabby yeah we did, a lot.

@imightbegabby This is a single artcle not videos every day ;)

@imightbegabby not only was that review updated multiple times, but we revisited a month after too

Downloading keeper right now, on Gamepass via the new xbox experience.

congrats

Fixable problems.

of course, but it's a $1,000 device

@cotizcesar So was the og ally

@tomwarren And Legion Go 2

You Hit Y bring up Keyboard and hit Y again problem solved its how the Keyboard acts even on Xbox sometimes Keyboard function isn't the greatest. Also keeper might be the issue due to late on PC side couldn't predownload

That isn’t on the Full Screen Experience. That happened on my computer a few minutes ago.

it uses the same thing.

It wasn’t a Full Screen Experience problem, as I had the same problem without it. It was a problem with the game on PC and on Xbox. It was since fixed and I can download it.

did you even watch the video?

Dude, I just let you know that there were issues with Keeper across the PC app and on Xbox console, that aren’t specific to the Full Screen Experience, because you mentioned it in the video. Your response is to ask me if I watched the video. Ok.

Be careful Tom you’re gonna have the Xbox defend force knocking on your doorstep

The Keeper issue isn’t specific to the Ally, I had the same issue on console. It would let me download the game but not play it’s like the Game Pass inclusion wasn’t registering. It didn’t work for me on Series X until almost 12.

Web tech shouldn’t be built for a system launcher experience.

I agree there

I initially believed that the issues I encountered were due to being forced the build on my original Ally X to get the Xbox Experience. However, I discovered that I’m not alone in this. It seems that the app is not optimized yet. Interestingly, launching the Full Screen Steam app on my Ally X makes the experience feel more fluid.

Cracks me up when people understandably talk about how Microsoft is a software company and with regards to Xbox why they seem to be letting the hardware just spiral. But then you see this kinda shit. Their a finance company

TBH it happens on the Xbox console from time to time with some games. It's rare but it does happen, if you get there early. The game launched at 4pm in the UK and it's 4.37pm in your video. It'll be fixed shortly after that.

Worthless junk on the go. Where's my Gameboy Advance..

@jronald This is where the real work starts. Its not that their are bugs, its how fast can you fix them to make them a thing of the past, FAST.

Almost seems like they don’t have thousands of employees at their disposal to take care of these details

The app you are using is just the Xbox App. It's buggy on touch screen devices period. My OG Ally does the same thing. The keeper thing is just because it hasn't been fully added to Game pass yet. Happens all the time with release day additions.

Did they not run this through QA testers. Before releasing this?! Horrible QA imo. SMH

Small? Where's the EA app Tom?

thank you for being honest and critical when some others refuse to

There's something wrong with the way that Keep is listed in the PC xbox app. In the xbox app if you go into GP you can play it via cloud or buy it but not download it although it is listed as Play Anywhere. That's nothing related to the xbox full screen experience though.

Game Pass and PC games not being available at launch in the Xbox app has been a long-standing issue. I remember when DRAGON QUEST XIS launched 4 years ago it wasn't even listed in the Xbox app for about a day. You had to go to the Microsoft Store to find and install it.

Bro… C’mon You do know that just a Xbox skin of the Armory Crate, right?

My setup experience was not even close to as easy as an Xbox. It failed on the first go, so I got kicked to something that didn't have controller support for a bit. Then (I assume because of that failure on the first go), it took hours to update to be ready to use.

Ah another one 😂🥲

Let's level this up a little. If you're an Xbox Insider, sometimes the stable version of the launcher runs instead of the delta ring one, forcing you to relaunch Xbox app. Rare, but it happens. PD: Not having cloud on my pic is normal (unavailable region)

No issue here when did you do all updates this seems more a you issue not app issue

I don’t think this has anything to do with the Xbox full screen experience. I tried to get it on my pc when it was supposed to go live and had this same exact issue. I couldn’t get the gamepass version on my pc with an initial search. It just showed buy.

Not sure it’s a glitch….

I think people buying the XBox rog. Must have known they were being used by XBox as paying to be beta testers. In the same way PS pro gamers were for PSSR. Sometimes it's best to wait a year.

@BondSarah_Bond @XboxP3 @aarongreenberg

I agree. It's extremely buggy. Also the cursor sometimes moves too quickly or not at all. Entering the pin doesn't always work either. You have to use the touch screen. Also the keyboard won't come up in some older games to put in the cd key etc.

Interesting.

The Xbox PC always seems slow to update with new Game Pass releases ….. disappointing but if we keep highlighting the issues, hopefully someone with iron them out
