Tattoos and piercings work against the aesthetic of the Goth girl now. Much more likely that e-girls will have these things than Young Gen Z girls. I would agree that this girl is likely not goth but the lack of tattoos and piercings isnt the tell... it's the fact that she's interested in Drake.

I adore you but I'm a long time goth girl who only just recently got a tattoo and don't have any piercings. Tattoos and piercings do not make us. It is the mindset that does. This has been a perception of goth girls for decades. I've been solicited by many men to be a dominatrix over the years and been offered a lot of money to do it too. I know more about BDSM culture thanks to solicitors than I ever wanted to know. 😭

You should just get piercings and tattoos if you think they look cool, and don't if you don't. Getting them just to signal that you're "part of the group" has always been lame and is a teenage mindset. Altering your body for a sense of belonging shows a weak sense of self.
