In principle, I have no issue with cyclists or e-bikes on the road But...

The number of times I've almost smoked a cyclist that didn't even TRY to slow down for a stop sign is staggering. Then, they have the nerve to flip you off! I'm grateful for the ones that actually follow the rules of the road, but that's a precious few

Cyclists should be insured on the road. If there is a cycle lane, and you hit a cyclist outside it, the burden of responsibility is on them.

These MAMILs, especially when riding in packs, have no manners. You get no warning of their approach and not a word of thanks when you step aside to let them pass.

Legal to cycle 2 abreast. Mildly annoying but where do you have to be in such a hurry? Proper cycle lanes would solve your issue. In this instance there's plenty of space on the left to create a cycleway.

It’s always the same with entitled cyclists. You spend ages stuck behind them at painfully slow speeds waiting for a safe chance to overtake, then when you finally do, you get caught at the lights and they weave in and out of traffic straight back to the front again. Then you have to sit behind them and repeat the whole process. Cyclists are rarely considerate towards drivers.

We're *lucky* to be popular with a cycling group that thinks it's in the Tour de France peloton. They'll happily cycle around at weekends 4 or 5 abreast taking up the entire road, not giving a shit, knowing they'll have a huge queue of cars behind them at 15mph. They cause havoc!

The more I see and encounter things like this on the road the more I sympathize with road ragers. I’m convinced traffic is rarely a case of just too many cars on the road, it’s solely caused by people just being idiots or over cautious.

On the roads where cars etc drive on, pushbikes should be taxed & insured, and should be subject to a cycle lane rule, where if they are not using the cycle lanes correctly they can be fined.

As former elite level internationalrider I totally agree. The vast majority of cyclists now are imbeciles on the road

I used to work on road closures, and cyclists always seemed to think the rules didn’t apply to them. One guy ignored the signs, ploughed straight into the back of a parked van, then had the nerve to come over and start complaining to us about it. That was a great day 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's true, people judge all cyclists on behaviour like this, and this is the behaviour of the vast majority.

@KukeeMc The cyclists aren’t breaking any laws, in fact they are following them. If the vast majority feel that this is a problem, maybe they need to adjust their sense of entitlement and learn that they don’t own the road.

@RayMairead Actually in germany its allowed to use the road when no individual lane is provided or the lane has defects. And u r not forced to use the safelane. But to ride side by side to each other just to have smalltalk is inappropriate and reckless to others.

This is why education matters. Cyclists can legally ride two abreast and it's often safer to do so. Drivers must allow 1.5m+ clearance to overtake safely. Ignorance of the Highway Code goes both ways, but impatient passes can be death traps.

Motorists are such entitled assholes. What about if they were riding a horse. The solid lane is for motor vehicles to keep out of. It's not a boundary. You still have to give at least 1.5m when passing people.

My arm was clipped on a footpath by a cyclist travelling from behind me at God knows what speed. He yelled at me I needed a hearing test because apparently he'd been ringing his piddly little bell. They think they own the roads and the footpaths.

There are two sorts of cyclist. Those who use a bike for transport and just want to get there and back safely... And those who dress up in lycra and have expensive racing bikes and post their time on facebook.

Any sensible cyclist would go single file on busy roads. This person is a douche on the bike and, I’m sure, off it too. I’m willing to bet he merges onto the highway at 80 km/h and lets trucks overtake him because he insists on driving under the speed limit.

i'd ride the exact same way there b/c of 2 reasons: 1) there isn't really enough safe space to pass someone on a bike there unless the driver gets into the other lane. 2) gutter bike lanes are often covered in debris and other shit. i'm not going to encourage a dangerous pass.
