These suspects Polk'ed around and found out -- we don't tolerate theft here. On Friday, June 26, 2026, PCSO deputies arrested 12 adults and 3 juveniles who were stealing food and drinks at the Davenport Wawa located on Old Lake Wilson Road; all of the suspects have been staying in an AirBNB visiting Polk from other counties in Florida. A 16th suspect was arrested during the investigation for interfering with deputies while they were detaining the theft suspects. Store employees contacted the Sheriff's Office after observing the suspects walking around the store, concealing bottled drinks and some food within their clothes. The group of people appeared to all know each other, and arrived at the store in three separate vehicles - a BMW, a Tesla, and a Honda Accord. The suspects, a mix of young adults and juveniles, were taking turns going into and out of the store during a 15-minute time span, some of them eating and drinking the items that they stole. Haerin: Personally, I’m deeply grateful to the people around me who have helped me grow mentally and made me feel alive. I want to continue working with those people going forward. But I truly can’t understand this situation where outside forces are constantly interfering with us and trying to block us. I don’t understand it… and I feel like I’m being forced to try to understand it. What exactly is supposed to be “for our benefit”? What does it even mean to help us grow? I honestly just cannot understand it at all. And why do our fans, our Bunnies, who found comfort in us and built happy, joyful memories together with us, have to go through something like this? Why do they have to worry about things they shouldn’t even have to worry about? I feel so sorry, and it feels like such a waste. On top of that, they even brought up the work that represented the relationship between us and Bunnies… the things that allowed us to coexist and support each other. At this point, we don’t want to hear anything else. And I… I don’t want to conform to, agree with, or follow the values of the society those people belong to. That’s not the direction I believe in at all. That’s why I chose not to go down that path.

NEW: 13-year-old girl abducted from her home by her mother's ex-boyfriend, who is shot and killed by sheriffs after he pulls a gun on them in Florida. Marion County Sheriff’s Office sent out an amber alert for a 13-year-old girl who had been taken from her home. Deputies say that a citizen saw the alert and recognized the vehicle, prompting them to call 911. Along with a License Plate Reader, deputies tracked down 45-year-old Jason Castillo, who tried to flee when they tried to pull him over. Deputies PIT maneuvered Castillo, the ex-boyfriend of the girl's mother, and shot him when he pointed the gun at the sheriff's deputies.
