Once, I was on a flight back to Atlanta. It was my return trip for business and all of my colleagues were laughing and cutting up during the flight. When we landed, the pilot came on and told us that we had a fallen soldier on board. I have never cried so hard in my life.

My Grandfather’s flag, I received the honor at his funeral. He retired several decades ago and I still cried as the flag was laid in my arms.

I have had to watch the passing of the flag more times than I care to count. I will never let anyone burn the American flag near me!!! I means too much to me and my family!!

Our brave soldiers fighting for our freedom, bless their families! We have too many ignorant people that disrespect our brave soldiers, police officers and firefighters. Majority of Americans love these people and our flag!

Americans are truly spoilt and don’t know what they have till it’s taken away from them. Yes it’s a piece of fabric, but its meaning is of deep love, respect & unity. The world envies you, yet you are your own demise. It will be stripped away from you and given to others.

@RobManess The American flag should only be burned when it is torn and tattered, and the burn is conducted in a proper ceremonial manner. In fact, you can check with your local VFW, as they may have a designated area for worn flags and will perform the appropriate ceremonial burn for you.

Anyone burning the American flag should be escorted out of our country and not allowed back. They are a disgrace to not only to America but the human race.
