This is why welfare does not work. "They've made it difficult to get jobs, to get started in the job market..." ━ Thomas Sowell

With the current social aid, finding a job and starting in the labor market has become an extreme sport.

Welfare is a poisonous addiction. The welfare gap (the way benefits are reduced faster than wages rise) is an evil act of our “rulers” to keep their addicted subjects dependent.

Thomas Sowell having an old school NY accent just adds to his power

Drug testing. Federal compliance, matching social security funds, etc. The government and its taxes and regulations make everyday life worse for Americans. Repeal it all.

Sowell is awesome

Pormoting unproductivity and breaking the social ladder.

I agree. My situation was years ago, but gotta feeling not much as changed. Single working parent 40hrs a week with overtime, income still low enough to qualify 4 food stamps. A year later, I didn't. With child care, no way was I going to make it. So they helped with childcare.

When your support depends on making as many voters as possible reliant on govt support, that's what you do. You make jobs harder to get & welfare easy to get.

One of the great minds of our time or any time.

The greatest expense in welfare programs is the process of “qualifying” those who request assistanc . Much like healthcare or insurance, the majority of the cost is administrative.
