This is why we're Trekkies

I was lucky enough to meet him in Cleveland during one of his last conventions before he died. I don't know why he picked us but when my sister and i were in front of him getting an autograph, he asked us if we were local and we are.. he decided to stop the long line and tell us this amazing story about how he spent time in this Area and details about his life. he was talking with us for like 15 minutes (the line was unhappy) but he didn't care - it was a super interesting time he had!. That experience with him is one i will never forget the rest of my life. He was such a super nice and one of the most genuine humans i have ever met.

This right here is why I do not care about ideological differences. Unless someone's ideas are causing harm, we continue to have debate and discussion to continue to build a lasting peace. And that starts by embracing and encouraging the value of life as he did. As we all will.

Very well said!

I've read about this so many times, but this is the first time I ever saw the interview. Incredibly tearful, amazed, and thankful that the world gives us such good & wholesome ppl like Mr. Doohan. & thank YOU for sharing this ❤️

World War 2 Veteran, Canadian, Radio Show Host, Talented Actor, Enterprise's Best. Miracle Worker indeed. He's the main reason why I endeavor to be kind to all & help all. <3

People like him are the reason you want to do better in life and notice those around There is always someone going through something. All they need is for somebody to take a second to acknowledge their struggles. We are social creatures in need of connection at the end of the day

100%! What an absolute gem of a human being.

James Doohan was a great human being

Oh gosh, I am in a public place right now and I’m trying not to cry. (Not succeeding)
