This is why you don't share just everything on the web. The vid you see here must be one of the most effective AI awareness videos.

Bullshit video scaring people for no reason. There will always be a camera ready to see and record you. Forever shrouding yourself is not the answer. Society will adapt, methods to prove a video's authenticity will be developed or they will not be valid evidence altogether.

There needs to be an international agreement that requires AI video products like this to have an underlying security code imbedded within the video's data itself. Something like how the FBI uses hash marks to detect child abuse material. This way whenever a video gets uploaded or shared, social media companies can scan the upload and immediately mark it as AI to avoid mass confusion.

True, but a bit absurd. Any photo could be used like that. Even a school photo/one taken of you from across the street. Are we policing people’s photos, or the companies making this technology?

Also don't go out in public because camera is exist.

well how much can you save yourself from digital version, you take on walk on a road and 5 cctvs will capture you, education around this is more useful than remaining in a cave.

A bit too heavy on the propaganda vibe but it isn't wrong. People who understand computers aren't surprised by any of this but there are vastly more people using computers than there are who understand them. And this is by design.

Lmao that video is so stupid

ai bros seeing this post: bullshite awsdokdowfartturd akwapdkadspkad not only like cheap yellow piss they also mentally ill thief

This video is meant to cause fear. Look at who funded the video. •

I've been trying to explain this to large number of people. Most of them look at me like I have two heads or something. Vast majority of the people prefer not to think - it's uncomfortable and requires a quiet mind - no distractions. Why would anyone want to do it?

What is the implied solution though? Nothing shown here is new and could have been done for decades now manually. Just making the process faster doesn’t mean it’s a new threat. And just like years ago, there is no way of preventing bad actors from doing this type of thing no matter how much we cripple AI for everyone else making it less useful for the good guys.

Underlying message is good but the video treatment is too dramatic imo. Makes it feel like the trailer for a cheesy tv thriller, not something that I feel compelled to take seriously.

Trouble is... anyone can make any face, even without photos of an existing person. It will become one big ball of digital flummery. Everything dismissable. Very strange future we are headed into!

The propaganda is crazy

I agree don’t share everything on the web. But when everyone can generate everything out of everything. None of the use cases in the video here apply because who would “lower your credit score” or what not if they know everything can be fake. Video stops having a meaning.

I think it's impossible to turn the tide on this particular behavior. My generation got in on it the second they had kids, and our parents soon followed with their grandchildren the minute they figured out Facebook...

Everyone needs the internet, nothing can stop people from communicating online, not even war. It's a basic human right. It's the service provider's job to respect our data, not the user's job to stop using the internet.

While caution is warranted with any new technology, we must also guard against fear based narratives that will likely ask us to give up control and trust a handful of gatekeepers. We know largely where control narratives will lead us and we have to remember, just as there were bad actors on the internet when it emerged there were also good actors, same will be true for the AI era. We should be cautious but optimistic as the future will largely depend on how we all choose to approach it.

I see it as opportunity to bring back dead people.

Insta users will hate ya...😂

Jenni: How about..."DON'T FUCKING POST PICS OF YOUR KIDS ONLINE!" Seriously. Why would people do that? My daughter grew up with the internet, and was in her 20s before she herself chose to share her own image online. Even pre-AI it was a bad idea, so I didn't. Just don't.

This is so retarded. Its like so retarded. Designed to scare retarded people about basic things. There is nothing ABSOLUTELY nothing to be done about this problem.

online safety should start by not putting all your images of yourself online, and then have it centralised with our ID's. HINT, HINT, EU & UK

To be fair, they can do that even without a photo or with the photo someone took on the street or at school. You cannot stop the digital existence of your kids and it's not your job to prevent crimes, but that of the police.

this is the stupidest video I've seen about the subject

Is that even possible anymore? It's too late to worry not to share, it's a good time to create protections against it though

So the solution is to never post pictures? One person can take a pic of u when ur out in public and boom its all over Its more about Ai regulation

I rarely if ever share photos of my kids online anywhere. They are private, for family and will remain that way until they are old enough to share what they want online. Frankly, the less shared by anyone the better.

Cryptography and blockchain solve this identity problem

bro what teh geek

Now do a video of what can happen to you, or your child, if you leave the house.

Stupid fear porn.

lol, that is ridiculous

Everyone has cameras and CCTV is everywhere. The age of privacy is over.

even if the parent is careful the loophole still be on the school where the friends inocently take each other photos
