This is Zephyr. He is a professionally trained bed bug detector. When he recognizes the scent of live bed bugs, he gives an alert by sitting and smiling exuberantly at his handler. We're pretty sure no one has ever been more excited to find bed bugs in their life. 13/10

So many bedbugs at the library 😳

BUGS!!!!

…but what were bedbugs doing in the library?

Was that a distressing amount of bed bugs to anyone else? 😬🤢😟

My dog is named Zephyr too!

I would put bed bugs in my house just to make Zephyr happy.

every hotel lobby needs a Zephyr to greet guests and stop them from bringing the bugs in.

That little “wooooooo” 🥹

As a pest control company owner, I can confirm Zephyr has a better nose than most of my techs. And WAY better attitude about finding bed bugs. 14/10 would hire.

He growled and said “bed bugs baaaaad”

Gross. Guess I'm never going to the library again. 🤢

When my son was inpatient for chemo last year the hospital had a “therapy dog.” The dog wasn’t much of a therapy dog to be honest. I later learned the the dog’s primary job was to sniff out bedbugs.

Some heroes wear a collar.

Good boy Zephyr! Those nasty bed bugs don’t stand a chance!

Bed bugs are awful, when you get them, the only sure fire way to get rid of them is to practically burn everything you own and move out/burn the building to the ground. This pup deserves all the treats!

Zephyr is clearly elite at his job. Working dogs with this kind of focused signal behavior are incredible examples of training and trust.

Awesome dog but that video makes want to NEVER borrow another book from a library!!!

Good for Zephyr !! I wonder what a bed bug smells like to a dog 😂🤣

OMG!!! good boy Zephyr!

The bed bugs when I ask Zephyr if I can sleep tight:

OMG! What joy to work with! Love him!🥰

Ow he’s so proud of himself at the end …. He can’t contain those ‘grrrrrs’ lol Congratulations Zephyr 🐾

Awesome doggy, even without the talent.

That’s horrifying!

@Rougue9780 Good boy. Dogs live to have a job to do. This one I’ve never heard of but looks like he’s great at it 🤣

finding bed bugs + book worms

Had a cattle dog that could smell ticks in a carpet.

My dog would love to do this but I don't want him to bring a bedbug home on his snout

He's the best!

@SergioSrRubio Visiting the offices of Ubisoft or Bethesda...

He must have found a lot of bed bugs in that bed to make him growl like that lol.

Awoooo 🥹

Wow!!!

Good Boy!
