"This isn't a practice. What the hell are you thinking?" "That is just ludicrous. That wasn't late. That was way late." Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler react to Georgia DB Ellis Robinson IV's unnecessary roughness penalty against Alabama.

Am I the only one that is seeing that the play wasn’t over, the whistle hadn’t blown and that this was an egregiously bad call?? Oh I guess we’re pointing out “awful announcing,” my bad. Whatever I’m posting my comment anyways lol

Herbstreit and Fowler are idiots. The pile was still moving, and the whistle didn’t blow until dude was in the process of leaving his feet.

So the oline can still be pushing their man forward, but a defender can't leap in?

Should have been targeting- same type hit as Bama player that was called for it @SECOfficiating

@KirkHerbstreit might be the most uneducated low IQ thing to come out of your mouth. He was on the pile by the time the whistle blew.

Whistle blew when he was in the air. I guess he should have changed direction like Superman.

Where was the targeting call at???That’s the definition of leading with the crown like a missle. But our DT got a petty one and has to miss 1st half next week

The play wasn’t over but that was still a VERY unserious penalty to make. How are you going to make a tackle on a short yardage run on top of a pile. He’s not Troy Polamalu. Not to mention that’s a dangerous thing to do jumping headfirst blindly. It was definitely a penalty

Georgia could afford to give 15 yards in that situation; the time was more important than field position. Dumb move, I guess, but really not as critical as they were saying

It is kind of hilarious that there is always that one guy who comes flying on to jump on these sorts of piles. Not all the time, but enough to where you always laugh a little when you see it.

All yall don’t know ball lmaoooo. YOU CAN’T JUMP ON THE PILE. End of story, 15 yards. Whistle, no whistle, you cannot jump on the pile. First down Tide.

QB wasn’t down. Even those on sideline, said the whistle didn’t blow yet. How do they not know what’s going on in the stadium when you’re calling the game.

Even if the play was live he's still a defensive player jumping on an opponent in an attempt to gain an advantage. That's illegal too. Rule 9-1-11

I like how they kept chirping about missed PI and defensive holding, yet wouldn’t say a word when Bama’s O lineman had our edge in a headlock. Or the plethora of missed holding calls on their O Line.

This should’ve been targeting. 1) lead with crown 2) launched 3) helmet to helmet contact Change My Mind.

I still want to know why 'targeting' wasn't called? He definitely 'launched', led with the crown of his helmet, & had forcible contact to the head/neck area.

I'm not saying the penalty was undeserved because I don't know what the rules say about diving into a pile like that. But the play did not appear to be over; the quarterback was making a second effort to go forward again, and the whistle didn't blow until after he dove on top.

🚨NEW: Tyler Robinson’s defense just filed its probable cause brief, and it’s revealing for what it DOESN’T argue. Nowhere in it do his lawyers argue: • That Robinson is innocent • That there was another shooter • That Charlie wasn't shot • That the microphone exploded • That the rooftop guy wasn't involved • That the recovered .30-06 was never fired • That the confession messages are fake Instead, Robinson's own lawyers write that his messages to his roommate and partner "indicate Mr. Robinson's intention to kill Charlie Kirk." They quote him: "I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I took it." Their primary ask is to strike the sole aggravating factor — that Robinson knowingly created a great risk of death to a person other than Charlie. Without it, the death penalty comes off the table. 26/33 pages is spent on that single point. The final pages argue that Robinson telling his boyfriend to "ask for a lawyer and stay silent" wasn’t obstruction, and that Robinson couldn’t have known children were present in the crowd. So after Candace and a dozen YouTubers spent 10 months making millions of dollars spreading lies about this case, Robinson's own defense team is in court arguing the bullet "travelled above, not through, the crowd" — so he shouldn’t face the death penalty. Watch what happens next. They'll say Robinson's defense is in on the conspiracy too. Judge Graf rules September 1.
