We used to do this all the time. Sad kids can't now. I remember always stopping in at the state lines to get a free map of the state.

ummm stupid if you are near an interstate you are NOT lost. how about teaching US and state numbering systems. or try Pompano beach, south Florida. they have a system but good luck.

In Belize no problem, there are 3 main highways, one to the north, south and west/east. Pick one. LOL.

When I first began touring America as I drove coaches for the entertainers, we carried an atlas. That was replaced with “Map-Guess” (MapQuest), an electronic set of directions (that often had the last turn WRONG). Then dashboard GPS that never told you a low bridge was near.
