Judge acknowledges the illegal behavior that goes on in our jail system. Where’s the reform there?!

This is disgusting. It's disgusting that rape is rampant in the prison system and disgusting seeing a powerful government official using it as a threat. 8th Amendment.

I get she’s speaking the truth and trying to scare him. But doesn’t the state, when incarcerating these people have a responsibility for their safety? Who runs these prisons, the guards or the inmates? Knowing some prison guards, the inmates make a lot of the rules. Like which groups shower when. This is wrong. Imagine a friend or family member, whether rightfully or wrongfully imprisoned, entering the prison world. They should be safe.

I think that qualifies as cruel and unusual.

The fact that a judge openly knows this kind of stuff goes on in a prison and does nothing about it just goes to show the degenerate state of society.
