This brief exchange between Thrawn and Morgan Elsbeth from Tales of the Empire is genuinely one of the most well-written moments in Star Wars animation IMO. Not only does it add more development for Morgan’s character and showcase Thrawn’s awareness that The Empire is not an invulnerable construct, but this moment also plants the seeds for how what remains of The Empire will operate after the events of Return of the Jedi. It almost feels like something you’d hear during an Imperial meeting in an episode of Andor. The writing on display here is just as incredible as it is daunting.

Because of this special book, I gained a witness by the Spirit that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He is my Savior, that the scriptures are the word of God, and that the gospel is restored.
