It has taken me years to find the courage to do this. In the next few episodes of @rachelinterrupted , I’ll begin sharing my story—the 13 months I spent in a troubled youth program in Provo, Utah, in 2004. I’m not here to place blame, pass judgment, or get anyone in trouble. I simply want to share my experience and tell my side of the story. 3 years ago this month, I dropped “Love Cycle” ❤️ No one believed in this song when I first dropped it, but I had a gut feeling about it. So I Shot & edited the music video for it myself & tried my best to push it. This song ended up giving me my first #1 throughout Africa, gave me my first big collab on the remix with Davido 🐐 & took me from Brooklyn to being recognized on the other side of the world 🌎 Shoutout to Nigeria for being big supporters of this song 🇳🇬
