This looked particularly inefficient at first I changed my mind

Pretty wild seeing bro on social media again, we almost did some work together in Volusia county Florida roughly 6 years ago before things went south on his end. Hell of a good dude. Yes I know him lol

Those of us who worked in construction learned this:

I do this all the time now since I seen this video years ago. However depending on the environment your arms will get dirty and greasy. But I work in a mine so it’s a hell hole.

Or you could just be taught properly how to loop a cord/rope lol

His method may be ok but there is also a method where you can roll it in an enless loop and not get tangled. *see attached video. Over under method. This is the best way to extend the life of a cable as most all cables are put directly on a spool upon manufacturing. It will deploy without tangling also. Roadies came up with this method. The loop in the loop method mentioned here is good cord storage and deployment too but will shorten its life compared to the over under method. Use the over under method with hoses and ropes too. Over and Under cord, rope and hose storage and deployment method.

Mountaineers’, butterfly, figure 8, or over-under coil… these topics can start fights😅

Ok, but why does he have two different color socks on with his sandals?

except its an electrical cord not rope and with cold weather after you wrapped it like that, it becomes a nightmare to deal with when working with it. might be good for rope but NOT ELECTRICAL CORDS!

Honestly think this is terrible technique. When you live in colder climates the cord gets stiff and does not roll back out nice.

Florida man is as wise as a sage in the daylight apparently.

NICE Worth the effort

💯 This is the only way to do it. If I see someone daisy chain a cord, I'm giving them a dirty look.

Try wrapping the cord up like this when it's 5 degrees out.

we do this with climbing ropes too, but we leave an extra ~10 feet on each end so we can wrap it around our shoulders and carry the rope like a backpack.

I've been using this method for 6yrs ever since I saw this video on tiktok. It is the best and most efficient method. I never get twists in the cord, like I did when I wrapped it around my elbow. I never have to fight knots or tangles.

Did he steal those pants from a 12 year-old Asian girl?

That’s awesome….I use one of these. 🤗

This:

My dad always scolded me for never learning to loop his extension cords like this.

This one allows you to unravel only the part you want to use.

Can we please stop putting retarded niqqa "music" as a soundtrack to everything? Just stop. Jesus fucking christ. Enough

Too much to explain here, but there is a way to coil cords without having them get all twisted up and permanently lose their straight structure over time.

Can I wear a shirt while I'm doing it?

The second I see that it is Florida, I expect... - an alligator - Mispatched socks - someone eating someone's face - police - a guy without a shirt The bingo card is never empty... [ I can't tell you how a reel is worth every single penny, for a dozen reasons ]

Fucks the cord its not rope its thin copper and has memory

"never gets twisted" love it

Florida Man

Loop your cords CLOCKWISE. The stranded wire is twisted the same way. Twisting it any other way is going against the cord's natural memory. Large loops wind it up faster. On the wall, wind them at eye level or a little above,

Not wearing a shirt but has sandals with socks? 🤷♂️

As an electrician: this is legit and a lifesaver

didn't stay for the payoff- immediately thought Florida man... and replied. So the engagment trap still worked. Nicely played.

This is the only way

Complete waste of time, walk 50' to wrap it, then walk 50' again to unwrap it. You can't just feed the line out while you walk to where you're using it. I've tried all the techniques.

I work in construction and the next time I use a 100 foot extension cord I’m gonna try it

Probably works well, but stresses the tie-off point(s). A stage hand or grip would never wrap cables like this.
