This lucky anteater will live to see another day

Anteaters can throw mad hands when threatened. Predators don't typically mess with them for that reason because the risk of injury is too high. Looked like a curious cat but instinct knew not to mess with it.

"They use their power as formidable defense. Giant Anteaters rear up on their hind legs and lash out with their claws. A single swipe is powerful enough to kill a Jaguar or a Caiman, both of which are apex predators in the Giant Anteaters habitat."-

I don't think many realize just how dangerous a giant anteater really is. The jaguar was curious but not stupid anteaters are incredibly strong and their claws can do devastating damage, there are recorded cases of anteaters maiming and killing jaguars AND humans.

That anteater is so nonchalant! Maybe because its tail makes it look much larger, the leopard is fooled. Still the strangest encounter I've seen between a major predator and smaller prey. The leopard looks like it's just practicing its stalking skills. 😁

Why would he want to eat something essentially made of ants

I thought anteaters were quite aggressive due to their poor vision, I'm surprised this one just walked away instead of trying to maul the jaguar

Beautiful Leopard, even more beautiful Anteater. The Anteater was like not today "Leo" didn't your mother tell you about my claws. Its not just me, lot of people assume the Anteater won't be tasty enough because it eats Ants. Believe me 🐔 hens, 🐰 rabbits and Pigs eat feces.
