I liked this part of the show because Ricky Gervais is not religious at all but it shows he understands there are times when it’s better to put your own ego and worldview aside for a second and show some compassion.

It’s a beautiful reminder that we can disagree on the "big questions" and still be "good folks" to one another.

I was grieving when this show came on, huge loss. Somehow this show validated what I was going through, I wasn't crazy, I was broken. I laughed, cried, you name it. This show helped me tons.

Everybody should watch Afterlife at least once in their lifetime. Not because it’s good, or funny, but because it’s important.

Nothing will ever strike you harder than a child who knows they will be in heaven soon and they embrace it with their heart.

If I were that child's father, I would definitely cry in the fetal position when he wasn't looking.
