2 things, one, Luffy actually called Momo's name when he used fire breath earlier, two, (thought) Yamato could feel Shanks Haki but decided to praise Momo instead (?) because he needed it, especially after his monologue earlier.

Love Luffy saying "What was that?" While knowing exactly who it was.

This scene is even more precious when you realize that Luffy is becoming more like Shanks with how he encourages Momo. After he felt Shank’s halo you could say that Luffy is starting to see things from Shank’s point of view when he was a kid.
