My aunt who had a farming business would sometimes send her workers to help my parents do spring cleanup on our property. My mom always made them lemonade and we would take it out to them. It felt good to see them smile.

should be the norm, just kindness. A crew was redoing sidewalks all over town in the blazing heat of summer so when they were on our block and the next I left snacks and drinks out every day and they were so sweet about it

Don’t workers in the USA take their own lunch and fluids? I have no issues giving workers a drink but lunch etc is rather odd in my country.
