Why would you in the first place project a “rise in fuel cost” probability to be a reason we are using fixed tax rate. That is not what we changed government for. We changed government to help reduce the cost of fuel.

If the intension is to serve common people, percentage is better. 1% on 10 liters at rate of 12 cedis per liter will be 1.2 pesewas 1 cedis per liter on same quantity is 10 cedis. Better way to put this is for OMC’s to add it to landing cost. So, the people know direct price
