The cycle of sin/repent, sin/repent is broken when believers wake up to righteousness and stop using 1 John 1:9 as a crutch to assist their faith in the gospel. 1 John 1:9 is written to unbelievers and the gospel doesn’t require a crutch. You’re forgiven forever and the solution to guilt/condemnation is not MORE forgiveness, but praise and thanksgiving for the finished work of the cross. Receive this and stand your ground as one crucified for ALL sin, and raised alive in Christ.

The tricky thing with satan isn’t that he wants to be always completely wrong but very often almost-right. He walks right next to the truth, the good and the beautiful but never on it

So many people don't see this. Satan has no issues with you being moral. He just wants you to ignore God while being that way.

Most of these examples depend what heart you are doing it with. If you act out of a loving heart, the outcome is less important. Jesus acted out of a loving heart and died. If you help your brother from a loving heart and he betrays you, that’s on him. Give without expectation

This is not getting at the root. Satan=self. Jesus=selfless. We will always struggle. Jesus bridges the gap between the impossible law and perfection.

That's why we need to check things we do or are going to do against the Bible. Bible never said we have to allow to be used. And each of us have only 2 cheeks to turn. We should forgive but it doesn't say we should allow others to use us over and over. Matthew 18:16-18 New International Version 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church(Εκκλησία - a group of people gathered together); and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. ...

encourage others to live in strength rather than submitting to the nature of sin. You have the choice to choose positive habits rather than negative ones, you have the power to override those thoughts/actions. God gave you the ability to be the driver of the vessel. Joshua 1:9
