@NatureChapter Poison isn't really a concern when the needle is as big as javelin and sticking out of your chest

@NatureChapter One strike from a ray, and its venomous stinger can lodge deep in the body—he truly put his life on the line.

@NatureChapter He gaffed that ray in the head. Didn't save anything.

@NatureChapter ah yes let's catch every fucking thing swimming in the sea and then make "feel good" videos of how we save this one animal by risking our life, after having caught it it the first place at least something

@NatureChapter Is it me or is this manta ready to fucking kill this dude until, at the very end, it realizes the guy is saving him. Look at the tail following the man. Then it's like, "oh, you're friend?" And the tail drops. I'm going crazy watching this

@NatureChapter I once did that, on the return run I picked up its back bone. The sharks used to follow the boat like a pack of rabid dogs .If you were to fall of the back of the boat your arse wouldn't hit the water

@NatureChapter Respect to him FR, not everyone would take that risk. 🫡

@NatureChapter Big horrible sods. We’d get them in the net reeling sometimes. They would plop onto the sorting table and glare at you as you tried to loop a rope onto their tail and winch them off. Occasionally they would have a flick of the barb at you.

@NatureChapter Risking his life for sure , that tail whip could end anyone. But let’s be real, this is bycatch cleanup on a fishing boat, not a random ocean rescue. Still absolute respect for handling a massive thrashing ray like that without getting barbed. Legend work

Humanity's absurd hypocrisy. There is a pile of thousands of his victims and because he rammed a hook into one victim he has no use for and kicks it back into the sea where it might or might not die from the wounds he inflicted on it, is somehow supposed to show how good he is? It really does not get more blind than this. Holy shit how fucking moronic are we as a species?

@NatureChapter Some people just have it in them to make every effort to save another no matter what the species. I give him such credit! That rescue looked seriously dangerous. Great work!

@NatureChapter There are massive amounts of rays and other ocean wild life caught in the supposed dolphin safe nets. Tuna safe does not mean wild life safe…..

That’s insane. The barb on those tails is so sharp, I almost lost a finger to one of those. Unless there wasn’t a barb in there???
