No. He paid $100 bucks for his pizza. If he needs change he needs to go to the shop and pick his change up. I'm not running myself ragged for some entitled asswipe thinking I'm driving back to him with change.

The company should have had his change

Not for delivery. If I have no money, have wifi and a phone app, I can order a pizza to any address, tell them I only have a Benjamin and will need change on my $15 order, wait for the driver near that address, beat the driver mercilessly outside of their car, grab the $85 I know he has, and the pizza and run off. Driver's carry limited money to limit threat to themselves and the company money.

@gotrice2024 You do realize that your imaginary scenario is rendered moot because he called the store and the store said it was okay, right?

My imaginary scenario that is the exact reason why drivers only keep a small amount of money? You do realize this sort of thing really does happen when thieves realize a place has their driver's carry more cash than they should right? And you dont know if he really did let them know about the 100 at all.

@Niggativiti @gotrice2024 As a client, is not my job to know the amount of change drivers have. He did the right thing, he anticipated the situation and told the store about it.

@Niggativiti @gotrice2024 He may have. Doesn't mean the driver must accommodate the client in a way that compromises his safety or breaks policy.

I would've taken the $100, told him I'd bring back the change Then called him from the pizza shop and told him to come get his change

@NobodymrRobert Yep that just became a tip.

If he truly did call and explain he only has a $100 bill and the pizza place said that was fine he can order the pizza because the delivery guy can break it, then it's on them. Free pizza since what else can be done? Not like the pizza can be resold and it's their goof.

It is in the, they just need to tell the driver

@RealBookerScott I would take the 100 & make the guy who bought the pizza to go to the pizza joint for his change. Problem solved…

I did pizza for 20 years. First off, the guy lied about calling about the $100. The manager could be fired for sending a driver out with more than $20. If the customer doesn't have change or plastic then the driver brings back the order. Driver safety is #1 priority.

kinda seems like a skit but who knows nowadays. not in the mood for skits and fake shit anymore.

I think the customer is running a scam. There is no proof he spoke to anyone at the shop. My delivery drivers never had more than $15 or $20 on them because the risk of robbery is high. At my restaurant we didn’t accept hundreds unless it was in the restaurant, too many fakes. All of this information was provided when the order was placed. Upon delivery the payment is made before the food gets handed off because people will take the food and go back inside without paying. My employee would have just come back with the food and I would have let the employees eat it. People will go to great lengths to rip you off.

The merchant can refuse to make change and refuse the sale. He has to give the pizza back.

Venmo the guy his change. Deducting for a generous tip at handling fee seems in order.

The store messed up and should have fixed it

This has to be fake. Nobody actually pays when pizza is delivered still, right?

Yeah, I'm going with the consensus of---take the $100, don't go back, make the guy get off his ass and go down to the store.

call the fucking store and pay with a card?

That's dominos. Drivers only carry $15 in change and drop $ after runs. No manager would have told the guy "it's ok". Driver safety is paramount. It is bad enough that a lot of those drivers go to some very sketchy areas as is, damn sure not sending them out with change for $100

I own a pizzeria. We don't allow cash payments on deliveries for this exact reason. It never ceases to amaze me how often people can screw good and normal things up for everyone.

If you try to pay a delivery driver for an order under $80 with $100 bill, you’re an asshole.

I didn’t even have to read the whole thing to know this is Domino’s. The customer knew damn well what the rules are and chose to be a dick about it.

As a delivery driver Im taking the hundred going to my car for change driving off and passing by later with change since this MF don't give a shit.

Take the $100 and let him get in touch with the store for his change. He's putting the driver in a tight corner.

I would have taken the 100 bucks and never came back

th shittiest part is, the delivery guy (like i would do) would just pay for the pizza and give the cash back..its not worth losing income over, you talk shit to your girl (that confides in you) at the end of the day that helps you deal with it and move on. most of us are broke as fuck and have few things to keep us going. its just another day at the end of the day, i chalk it up to general people just being dicks as they are. fuck its hard to strive in this world, but whatever.

Take the Hundred, promise to bring it back, and call and tell him we will put it on his account for the next time he orders pizza.

He should take the $100 and make the customer come pickup his change.

I would have sent the pizza back. I sure as hell wouldn't have stolen food from Domino's.

@wickedcece315 Take the pizza back or better yet, call the shop and tell the guy on the phone he is paying for the pizza since it was his job to make sure the driver had change after telling the customer it was fine.

In the digital age what retard still pays cash for a pizza?

I'd take the $100, and tell the dude if he wants the change to come into the shop 😂

Take the $100 bill and walk. Let the store manager and the customer work it out.

Most likely the guy is trying pass a fake 100. Drivers are not supposed to carry a lot of extra money for obvious reasons.

Yes. That was a jackass move on the customer's part. Try cooking your own dinner next time.

But he called and cleared it with the store first.

You got $100 bill and we're supposed to believe you couldn't pay with your card?

@1109Patricia I'll take the $100, but I aint coming back with change.

Keep the difference for a tip. If the guy ordering is that stupid he doesn't deserve the change in the first place.

Keep the hundred fuck him 🤣🤣🤣

This is a customer's problem; we can't make things difficult for everyone who works hard. It's a matter of respect.

He said he continued with the date despite this and ended up spending over ₦50,000 as she ordered more items. After the date, he said he booked a Bolt ride to his house for them, only for the woman to allegedly tell him that she was married and could not have anything intimate with him.
