Reminds me of Sugar 🐿️. She liked her lower jaw rubbed like that too. I think any animal, raised, given resources and affection could possibly adopt the people rehabilitating it. It’s not always the case, but for a while after they are released, they will still trust and return for the affection. After a time in the wild, survival kicks back in and they do not trust as much. Get close but not touch. The time period in which they return is pretty special. Because it’s them choosing to return for that affection.
