This winners guilt, I don't like it ,just because the Springboks won doesn't mean we don't have another level to click on. Scrums mauls set piece play is just a lazy way to label the Springboks. Most our players where rusty we still lacked continuity and chemistry. Now we roll.

Its not unpopular. It's stupid. The All blacks defence fell apart and we beat them in test 2 with 0 scrum dominance and 0 maul tries. They have really weak defence and the day the Boks stop knocking the ball on in the final 22 they'll put 50 on the ABs

The mentality Zels have is the reason we spent 10 years being NZL whipping boys. The reality is when we start to play like we know we can these guys can’t hang with us.

Zel’s is on the money here. 6 months into Rennie and they’ve outscored us. We currently have a negative points balance in a home series where they’ve played 3 tests and 4 provincial games. We looked frantic at times despite winning - we had to work bloody hard. Not a good sign.

You can say the exact same thing about SA tightening up their defense. Majority of the tries we gave away this series were absolute soft, bullshit tries (not accounting 2 that should never have been awarded). We tighten up a bit, no one is beating us.

Don’t agree. The scoreline in each of the 3 tests flattered the ABs. Boks were dominant in all games and it was fine margins that ultimately helped the ABs.

And it the Boks solve their back line issue, then it’s over for every other team in the world!! The sad reality is that Zels fails to see that the double champs have a gear that has not been touched yet.

I absolutely agree. Our work-on has to be getting our attack cooking from first phase and spreading it wide just like the Ab's are able to do so easily. We have the backs. Collectively, we might have better backs. We also need to work on our defence to shut them down earlier.

He’s not wrong. We have show we have the talent in the backline. Last year Sasha was lighting the field up

Winning rugby is not about who score more tries it's about who score more points

Does he like though. Did the All Blacks outscore the Boks. Yes or No?

I believe in rugby, there are sacrifices that must be made to excel in different facets of the game - you can’t have this level of forward dominance (or parity from nz) if you also want expansive play… caveat being there could be those out there that are genetically gifted

You could say the same about every team. If Scotland perform for 80 minutes they can beat anyone, if England defend better they'll be a force. If Ireland solve their 10 issue they'll be back near the top. Ifs don't count for those teams and they shouldn't count for NZ.

They scored garbage time tries in ALL 3 test. We were 14 points better in test 2 and 3.

Agree what he said, the Boks can also improve when they combine their physical play with their running backline play, The Wellington test is proof of that. Test matches is all about balance, atm the boks is better at that

I could say the same the other way around....If and when Rassie starts Willemse and Moodie at centre with Mannie at FH...

Very true but if we just get to the breakdown faster we’d stop the bulk of the tries they score against us. So it goes both ways

Question is can it be solved vs what we have to offer in our country. Have we not always had a more physically dominant team and lost on a weaker backline. I think parity will be the exception not the rule
