This mentality is so gross and entitled. Just because someone makes content does NOT mean they owe you their time. They’re not required to stop and talk to you. If you follow someone’s content that doesn’t entitle you to their personal time. Content creators are people with boundaries and... show more

I think it’s funny she said “you’re not all that” “you’re not famous” then why are you so upset that she didn’t acknowledge you??? You can have a reaction to say I wish they would have responded back but if not, you don’t need to take it to social media blasting them over nothing

She doesn’t care so much she made a whole video about it

I fully agree w/ you but you DO create content *for* *people*, so these people are bound to want to say hi to you if they enjoy your stuff. I agree you don't owe them a 30 minute conversation, but a friendly nod and wave as you're briskly walking away is just a nice thing to do.

I always say hi if someone recognizes me in the parks. But if I say hi to someone and they don’t say it back I know I’m a stranger to them and they don’t owe me anything because I watch their videos

Nah she kinda has a point. It’s not a time thing it can literally just be a smile and wave, just be a general friendly presence is pretty much the least that someone can do if they’re trying to grow a channel. There’s pllllenty of vloggers to choose from, might as well call out the ones who arn’t actually nice people and instead promote the ones who are a great time and gracious in the parks.

IMO if you are a vlogger you give up some of that freedom, while I wouldn’t make a video to bash you. Don’t give the vibe of being better than others or make eye contact with a “fan” and then ignore them if they say Hi as I’ve seen this happen before.

Yikes. This strikes me as a smaller creator who wants to feel bigger by being acknowledged by bigger creators. Instead of trying to stir up drama, maybe she can put more effort into her content

She’s a personal shopper and made a follow up video about how people should follow her because she’s a positive content creator so I’m guessing her motivation was attention

Bro, what? Treating people with human decency is not unreasonable. A simple hello or wave costs nothing. If u make revenue off this (streams, super chats, patreon), then yes, you do owe your consumer base. But even if u don’t why hurt ppl, then put on a fake persona to film?

Saying hello to someone is simply common courtesy. I can see the frustration behind being ignored by someone especially when they clearly acknowledge your existence, like how she stated in the video. Nobody is questioning boundaries, but common courtesy goes a long way
