Lol, demolition happened in Lagos State, Governor Amuneke did a SPECIAL VIDEO asking Igbos to go home because he believed their properties were specifically targeted in Lagos for demolition.... There have been several demolition before and after that Lagos demolition in Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo State and even in the South South, this guy never made the same assertion that Igbos were targeted.... The fact that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has no standards pains me so much,you can’t imagine. Descending all the way from Governor Babatunde Fashola to this is really sad. Governor Fashola built an iconic bridge that became a global symbol of Lagos. He was also a politician, but you could clearly see he had standards. In fact, you would never see any major road like this anywhere in 2026, whether in Nigeria or elsewhere. How can Governor Jide build a whole Lekki–Epe Expressway like this,a vital corridor? Even people outside Lagos and Nigeria have heard of it, even if they’ve never been here. They may not know other expressways, but this is one of the most famous. And this is the best Governor Jide and his team can come up with as a sidewalk? Just look at how everywhere reeks of neglect. You needed to see these places under Governor Fashola. This is so sad. The neglect of the Lekki Peninsula corridor as a whole is heartbreaking,broken drainages, roads that need rehabilitation, just name it. This is the corridor that harbours some of the highest taxpayers in Lagos. No sir, things are not done like this. Ideally, Lekki should have had a proper urban regeneration plan in place even as far back as three years ago. Everywhere should have been properly maintained so that the government can even generate more revenue from the area,it’s not rocket science. In 2027, we need to bring our best people forward.
