🗣️ "This midfield can't control games." Danny Murphy discusses how Manchester Utd can become harder to beat 🛡️

Bruno needs to drop into a midfield 3 more often instead of chasing every ball forward. Often he plays further forward than Mbeumo whose the actual forward - or even Cunha. But all this needs to come from Carrick who is just dead silent on the sidelines.

We were told last season under Amorim that the back 3 was the issue and that players need to go back to what they’re comfortable with, which is a back 4. Now that we know that formation is not the issue, maybe (just maybe) it is time to look at the players.

He is right to some extent but IMO that changed with Baleba @ManUtd needs a midfield partnership involving Baleba and Mainoo/Tielamans (one of which should be chosen based on the opponent and workload) IMO Baleba is key to the whole thing

That midfield needs legs and Baleba has them. Give him a few games

they can’t even control a simple throw-in

Of all the pairings he has chosen to go with the wrong one
