They don’t want Ivy grads anymore They just want H1Bs When are we going to actually have this conversation as a country

oh you had a 4.0 gpa from an ivy league? That's very impressive. Unfortunately, Rajneesh here has entirely faked his credentials and is willing to be paid 30% less than you are, so we're going to import him from his village that has no power or running water and hire him instead

Our engineering company is trying to find someone at virtually minimum wage to restock lab supplies and clean stuff, zero potential for advancement. Getting nothing but grads with stem degrees begging for a foot in the door…grim.

The current economic setup is a recipe for unemployment. Tariff war. Heavy corporate debt. Interest rates that aren't low. More automation efforts. Elevated cost of living (low disposable income for consumers).

Now imagine having the degree, decades of experience & being in this spot Us older folks are openly told sorry your best years are behind you, we need someone younger To young for SS but considered too old to work (today)

my local McDonald's is hiring at something like 18 bucks an hour, but they don't want those jobs because they're too good to actually work till better opportunities come along, instead they come on here and whine - you know who got jobs? interns, those willing to 'work' bottom up

Accurate. I know a woman at the top of her field. Well respected. Great presence. Recruiters were beating down her door for a couple years. Now she's taken a job paying less than half of her previous salary for a horrible company after seaching for most of a year.

Very slowly, the era of working and jobs is very likely coming to an end here now with the rapid advancement of AI. Soon, there may not be ANY jobs left at all - for anyone.

I've cooked and run kitchens for 38 years. There's always a job for me because in this industry finding somebody that can do what I do is near impossible. Every restaurant is dying to find good help and will pay top dollar. People shouldn't waste their time getting bad degrees

Coming out of school I was willing to move to any state to get experience. I know it's a challenge to find positions, but new grads need to be more flexible. Home is where the job is.

nobody cares about your grades or what university you visited. college is a scam. they want experience, years in the work force and practical skills. you can tell your mc donalds manager about your indigenous social studies course

Entry level is having a tough time, but for experienced folks the market is still hot. Recruiters beating down my door even with Linkedin off and no applications for years.

It's because the majority of college graduates don't actually have skills. They have a piece of paper they over paid for.

It is already ugly. We are in a war right now. The battle lines are drawn. You are either on the side of White people or against us. Economically, socially, politically, militarily. It will get a lot worse before it gets better.

Cause your “degree” is worthless when someone with experience and no degree walks along. You got scammed… get over it

Is starting an organized crime syndicate considered a job? This may be an option. Is how our current government, tech bros, and every other industry operate.

Don’t be a young man and disabled. Nobody will ever give you a chance if they know you are disabled in any way. Then they will also say how disabled people don’t deserve help from the VA or other organizations. If you become disabled while young you are basically expected to just die or be unseen

1. Why is this guy shirtless? 2. This mentality gets you nowhere, this only leads to negative self affirmation: 'no jobs = you don't try = you don't get a job' 3. Every second spent thinking like this is another braincell not spent on boosting your career or learning skills 4. Content creation is a side gig at best Moral: Economy sucks but doomer mentality like this is cringe
