I actually like the forest better. It's the one bit of calm and peace in an otherwise adrenaline and anxiety inducing game. It also helps build a little connection with you and the characters.

I disagree personally, i think the campfire menu screen is comfy and suited for the BO3 story, where the characters are taking a break in between shenanigans
