@CityTshwane Most of this illegal electricity and water connection are carried out by Zimbabweans, they have the technical know how and our people just enjoy not paying anything. Place ghosts in the areas and you will find the perpetrators

We promise visible policing at this critical infrastructure. We plan to build security fencing to protect the reservoir against vandalism. The shacks that have been erected will also be removed by TMPD. City of Tshwane

In addition, we found several illegal connections. We’ve disconnected electricity, removed illegal connections and removed water meters from all the bad buildings we inspected today. We visited Hammanskraal hydrant collection points this morning along with Ward Councillors and MMC for Utility Services Cllr Frans Boshielo. While work is underway to stabilise water supply through infrastructure maintenance and repairs, residents must continue to receive adequate water supply.
