He's got a point. But theatres especially multiplexes can't survive without making money off of snacks. It's a tough problem. Hollywood figured this out and we need to quickly learn and adopt. No industry survives without catering well to middle class & multiplexes don't.

Sir, not food items rate alone killing the theator experience. Ticket rates also need to be reduced to increase the foot fall.. 150-175 in single screen is preferable to afford in single screen..200-250 in multiplex... but the rates are even touching 250-300 for single screen.

One popcorn and coke is 440. Ticket for 4 ppl is 1000 and coke and popcorn, nachos and fries for 1500. Unimaginably high rates everywhere

Ticket prices also need to be fixed sir. Max it should be 150/-. For big budget films around 200/-
