This one actually makes my blood boil! Some Indian guy Dinesh Paraiyar gets caught trying to sexually abuse a 14-year-old British girl in Luton. Caught red-handed by locals, begging, offering chocolates and a new phone like that makes it okay. Straight-up disgusting and horrifying. But here’s what really hits...

You will be the first one to tag him “MUSLIM” if he was a pakistani British. You are just mad that whites didn’t give you the special treatment you tried so hard to get, but you wont get it, because you are an indian.

@CyberGreen09 Importing third world into western nations always produces another third world.

These are becoming more common and Indians are enriching themselves at the cost of westerners in their own lands. That’s bad karma. Indians who bemoan British colonization are now colonizing the 🌎 and replacing natives in their own lands seeking entitlement and wealth.

My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. Part of the experience when visiting a new area is the street food but it’s becoming more and more a chore avoiding places like this.

“I experienced multiple timelines.” “My whole world shattered for two hours.” “And it was the most scary, disturbing experience in my life.” This is one of the wildest stories I’ve ever heard. One night, in the middle of the night, Hollywood producer Brent Friedman’s entire sense of reality broke. He just shared this mind-blowing story with Jesse Michels: “I’m at an Airbnb in LA one night.” “My day job is I’m working on a Call of Duty game.” “And I get a chime on my Slack.” “It’s like 1:00 in the morning.” “So I read the question, and … answer it.” Then he heard another chime. “The person’s like: what you said makes no sense.” “I’m like, okay, maybe I’m tired. Let me read what I said.” But what he saw on the screen was a totally different message than the one he had just sent. “So I correct it and I send it back.” “And then … he’s like: now you’re really confusing me.” “I look and I read it again, and … his original message is different now.” “I’m like, okay, this is weird … am I hallucinating?” So he went to a different Slack conversation with his creative director. They talked “all the time.” But now, he doesn’t even recognize the conversation. “We’re talking about things I’ve never heard of before.” “This is not the reality that I am living in.” “Now, I’m starting to get a little shaky.” He starts to wonder if he’s having a psychotic break. “Or I’m thinking to myself, do people get Alzheimer’s, like, overnight?” “What is happening to me?” “So I go to a different device.” “I go to my phone.” “I’m thinking, I’m gonna look at the texts from my wife.” “And we’re talking about a dog we don’t have.” “I’m starting to really freak out now.” “I’m checking, like, my heart’s fine.” “I’m pinching myself, I’m not dreaming.” “I’m doing all these checks just to make sure this is really happening.” “And it really is.” “And every time I go back to the computer, it keeps changing.” “So I’m like … I’m gonna shut down all my devices, I’m going to just take a shower.” “And I’m going to hope and pray that … when I wake up in the morning, everything will be reset.” When he’s in the shower, he hears a voice say one word: “Timelines.” After that, he went to sleep. The next morning, he opened his devices again with a sense of dread. “I boot everything up, and everything is back to normal—but only 99%.” “There’s a few weird little references that feel like artifacts left over from another timeline.” Jesse Michels American Alchemy Brent Friedman Bryce Zabel

Tyreek Hill says what makes Patrick Mahomes a great leader is he isn’t afraid to call out the entire offense and the star players on the details in front of everyone “Pat a different dude, and I'm going to tell you how he’s a different dude. I can't remember what year it was, but we was on a bad streak. All his supporting cast was playing bad. Me, Kelce, D-Rob, Sammy, we all was playing bad. This dude called the whole offense up. He called the whole offense up. This was like on a Tuesday, I believe. He called us all up. He cussed all of us the out.” “Me and Pat, we go back and forth, but that was a moment right there where he stood on business. And it was like, bro, I really respect this because he really just called out all his weapons individually.” “Pointed us out, looked us in the eyes and said, ‘Bro, Reek, you think you so fucking fast, but you can’t catch the damn ball. And you want to be the best receiver in the game?’ He was letting me have it. Then he went to Kelce. Then he went to D-Rob. Then he went to Sammy. Like, he went to all of us, calling us all out. And in that moment right there, I was like, yo, it’s go time now. That put so much, I don’t know what it put in my fuel, in my heart, bro.” “That next game, that's when we began to get things rolling. Because you never want to get called out by the leader of your team like that. You don't. You don’t. It's like, bro, I’m not going to let nobody down in this circle right here no more. And we started killing after that.” “And that’s one thing that our quarterback, he going to add, you know what I'm saying, too. Because with Pat, we all had a relationship with Pat. We all hang out. We all do stuff outside of football.” “Because we all trying to win. That's the best, we all trying to win, man. Being able to have them tough conversations is needed, I feel like, bro, because that got us better. When Pat did it, it made me want to kick his ass, but it made me want to get better, man.”

A woman sits between two men. One is old and wealthy, and he is offering her a fortune. The other is young with nothing to give but himself. And Bouguereau painted her in the exact moment before she chooses... The painting is called Entre la richesse et l'amour, "Between Wealth and Love," made in 1869 by the French master William-Adolphe Bouguereau. At its center sits a young woman in a soft pink dress, her expression caught somewhere between thought and sorrow. On one side of her leans an old man, richly dressed, holding out an ornate casket, a small chest of treasure. He is wealth. He is offering comfort, security, a life without want, in exchange for her hand. On her other side is a young man in simpler clothes, earnest, leaning toward her, his hand pressed over his heart. That gesture is all he offers. He holds out no gold and no gift, only himself, the sincerity of his feeling, and the promise of a life that may be poor but will be warm. He is love. Bouguereau does not tell us what she decides. That is the genius of the painting: he freezes her in the one instant every human being recognizes, the moment when two futures stand on either side of you, and you understand that to choose one is to lose the other forever. Everyone, sooner or later, sits in that chair. Everyone is asked, in one form or another, to choose between the safe life and the true one. And the painting does not pretend the choice is easy. It never tells us what she should do. It only asks us to look, and to notice what we find ourselves wishing for... I started my newsletter because the past is full of masterpieces like this one, and fewer and fewer people are helping us truly see them anymore. Every week I try to. If that is something you'd like to be part of, you can join through the link in my bio, and if you'd like to support my work, a paid subscription is what makes it possible. Thanks for reading.

We are used to seeing the 1920s in black and white. This is what London actually looked like, in full color, more than a hundred years ago. What you are watching comes from The Open Road, filmed in the summer of 1924 by a British cinematographer named Claude Friese-Greene. It is some of the earliest colour film of London ever made. What I love about this film is that the color collapses the distance between us and them. The black-and-white footage we are used to is beautiful, but it makes the past feel like another world. Colour changes that. Red buses, a blue sky, the green of the trees, and suddenly 1924 does not feel like history at all... What most people don't know is that this footage was one man's attempt to finish his father's life's work: Claude was the son of William Friese-Greene, one of the pioneers of early cinema. Together they had spent years developing a way to capture true color on film, using a system of spinning red and blue-green filters in front of the camera. The process was flawed. It flickered, it produced strange color fringes around anything that moved too fast, and it was soon overtaken by better systems and forgotten. Claude set out on a journey by car from Land's End to the north of Scotland, filming the whole country in his imperfect color, trying to prove that his father's dream could work. For decades the footage sat largely unseen, its flaws making it almost unwatchable. Then, in our own century, the British Film Institute used digital technology to clean away the flicker and the fringing, revealing what Friese-Greene had actually captured: a lost world, brought back to life in color.
