All gamers are gamers. we should all be united not divided by anything or category. We all enjoy and share the game experiences.

I think the first lady is just intentionally turning the tired trope on it's head. I'm surprised how many people are getting upset by it.

Room temperature, borderline cold takes

Yup real gamers have variety and don't just stick to one thing or follow the "meta"

Oh but when I say you're not a real gamer for only playing phone games and development studios shouldn't take those numbers seriously then all of a sudden I'm a misogynistic sexist prick.

> We need more indie devs > The indie devs

aint she too old for games? damn someone take this 40yo hag out

First girl is literally a shallow gamer trying to sound sophisticated.

Not a wild take at all. It's just as stupid as calling someone who only watches Marvel movies on repeat a cinephile. To be a gamer you need to have knowledge of games (plural) They are gameers because they only play reskins with slightly varied gameplay of the same type of game

I low-key agree with her. People that only play mobile games like bejeweled or whatever else are not gamers they just do it to waste time. If you haven't explored many different genres, consoles and PC games you definitely are not a true gamer.

she's spittin the problem is the single genre gamers will play one game outside their comfort zone and be like "Why is this this way, this is ass" My hot take is Elden Ring kinda fell into this trap now because of how big its gotten with casuals, same with MH World and Wilds

playing only Tomodachi Life and Pokรฉmon on the brand new Switch doesn't make you one either

Anyone who plays and enjoys games with some regular frequency is a gamer. Doesnโt matter which game.

Competitive gamers are the ultimate gameplay test. Dumb take.
Were pumping way too much time and money into graphics. Its taking games way too long to be made, and its so expensive to make them, that devs are pressured to cater to wider audiences. Each individual game is more of a risk, so they have no choice but to try and "wide-net" games

You aren't a gamer if you only play 1 genre, complain there isn't anything to play and be incredibly contemptuous to other titles because they look "mid" to you.

Itโs really not a controversial take. Playing STRICTLY competitive games means you have an addiction to winning but youโre largely not physically competitive. A gamer will hold pad because thereโs pad to hold. Not because they want to win. To game means to play

can't we just all get along without tearing each other down? games are games, if they're simple, competitive, or exploratory.

I'm of the mind that if you play games, you're a gamer. The problem is certain genres of gaming are the loudest in telling everyone else how "trash" they are, like shooters and sports. Or how gachaslop gamblers can't shut up about how "ugly" every woman in games is.

Competitive gamers are usually the most skilled ones. Mfs that only play single player games tend to be absolute dogshit at every game they play At least comp gamers are building up skills in game, trying to master mechanics, etc.

Even though badly worded and delivered in a cringe manner, the first woman is not exactly wrong with her take.

first person in the video is comedian and live streamer @wisalallen cool to see you out in the wild ๐ช

And why do i have to care what NPC normies thinks that play candy crush on max volume on the train/bus? Not only in FPS but in general, this sensation tourism of literal "who's" is just pathetic.

i was going to disagree with the first girl but as she explains her reasoning i atually agree with her, as a proper gamer you should try different types, i am a twitch streamer i do enjoy my cozy and gathering games, but i do play simulators, shooters, fighters, suvival and so on

Once you are too competitive, you do not speak for gamers... If games are built fit casual players, competitive people complain... But there's like 15% of actual gamers that are, casual makes up a good 65% of gamers and the remaining amount are those who cheat

its not controversial. The boom of comp games in the 2010s and up especially in the late 2015s and up have killed gaming. People dont have the attention spam to handle single player rpgs, mmos etc anymore. And its sad because those were originally the best story told genres

She's right ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Yall really F'd this first lady by not editing down her take to the clarified version she said toward the end. Half the people in the comments are down here calling her outta her name because they didn't listen to the whole thing ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

I stand with the 1st girl.

that's totally fair but then if you only play singleplayer games you also are not a real gamer and do not have the right to judge games as well.

don't disagree with that first opinion. If u only play 1 kind of game, u aren't a real gamer. Just a fan of 1 genre. I have enjoyed isometric games, fps, competitive, story, rpg, turn based, mil-sim, whatever city skyline/ sim city is, tower based, mobile ones.

Playing games makes your a gamer.. End of story.
